The Rioja Bike Race Donates 239 Kilos of Food to the La Rioja Food Bank

The La Rioja Food Bank received 239 kilos of food thanks to the Rioja Bike Race. Most of the donations were fresh fruit not consumed at the feeding zone for the race participants and pre-cooked meal portions served to the cyclists after each stage.

Carlos Ferrer, head of Communications for the La Rioja Food Bank, expressed gratitude for the food received. He said, “The race took place on May 17, 18, and 19, celebrating its 10th edition of the Rioja Bike Race, with a unique route to fully enjoy mountain biking in a privileged area. At the same time, we appreciate the food donations, which were immediately distributed to our beneficiaries.”
