La Rioja Bike Race by Pirelli 2024 is presented

This Friday the 10th edition has been presented in Logroño, in an event attended by local authorities, cyclists and organizers.

Today, Friday May 17 at 12h, the tenth edition of the Rioja Bike Race presented by Pirelli has been presented in Logroño. Taking advantage of the first contact with the competition and the collection of numbers for the 700 participants, the race that celebrates this special anniversary was officially presented.

The spectacular truck of the BH Coloma Team, of the Riojan Carlos Coloma, was the main stage for the protocolary act that brought together authorities, organizers and cyclists.

The general director of Sports and Youth, Diego Azcona, wanted to highlight the strong support that the Government of La Rioja shows for the sport and in events as important as this". "La Rioja Bike Races is 10 years old and it is a benchmark in the whole country, the most important in this modality". In addition, "during these days the people of La Rioja and visitors will be able to enjoy the result of such important values as effort, perseverance and the work of the best MTB specialists on their route through the incredible landscapes of La Rioja, a welcoming and friendly land, also with sport and sportsmen and women".

The mayor of Logroño, Conrado Escobar, said that "events like La Rioja Bike Race are the best example of the commitment of this government team for the promotion of tourism in our city, and to further enhance the perfect pairing of sport and tourism.

In this sense, Escobar has highlighted the positive impact for Logroño of an event in which more than 850 athletes of 17 nationalities participate, "which allows our city to become an international showcase and brings with it the revitalization of the local economy and job creation."

"Logroño is a city that generates tourism because Logroño is wine tourism, Logroño is gastronomy, Logroño is culture, Logroño is commerce and, of course, Logroño is sport," concluded Conrado Escobar.

The event was also attended by cyclists Carlos Coloma, Felipe Orts, Txell Figueras, Roger Ferrero and Adrián García.

All of them have been received by Aitor Jiménez, Event Director of Octagon Esedos, organizers of the event.

This edition marks a milestone in the history of the competition, consolidating it as one of the most prestigious stage races in the cycling calendar.

A race that promises to be unforgettable, offering again new challenges and spectacular landscapes to the cyclists.
