Garmin repeats as sponsor of La Rioja Bike Race by Pirelli 2024

Garmin reaffirms its passion and commitment to cycling and repeats as a sponsor in La Rioja Bike Race presented by Pirelli, accompanying the participants and offering an extra adrenaline to the race with specific segments 'by Garmin'.

Garmin repeats its alliance with La Rioja Bike Race by Pirelli 2024, becoming a sponsor of the race that will take place from 17 to 19 May. La Rioja Bike Race by Pirelli 2024 is an important cycling event that, in addition to the sport, seduces participants with the wide gastronomic offer and the atmosphere of the Rioja community.
The presence of Garmin in La Rioja Bike Race by Pirelli 2024 contributes to the athletes participating in the race having at their disposal a series of training sessions to face it. Therefore, as it could not be otherwise, Garmin will also be with the participants during the competition, offering the Daily Results by Garmin.

Garmin accompanies the athletes

This edition will be accompanied by the brand's latest releases: Edge® 540 and 840, two cycle computers that have been designed for all types of cyclists. They feature state-of-the-art navigation, detailed performance information, safety and tracking features, among many other features.

The latest additions to Garmin's GPS cycle computers combine a wide range of performance-based training metrics, including one-of-a-kind comprehensive training geared to each user's personal goals. Plus, they feature enhanced navigation support with Multiband GNSS, connected features and more - all in a compact, lightweight design to help cyclists reach their goals.

Advanced performance metrics on the Edge® 540 and 840 series (including suggested daily training plans and advanced cycling dynamics) can provide riders with dynamic information and analysis, and mountain bike metrics, all to improve performance and provide a snapshot of strengths and weaknesses before tackling a race.

And on solar-charged models, athletes will have even more time on the road with battery life ranging from 32 hours of battery life in demanding use to 60 hours in saver mode.

The Bike Race by Garmin Segments

Following on from last year's implementation, this year 2024 sees the reopening of the 'Bike Race by Garmin Segments' category. This is a classification parallel to any other, in which the fastest riders will be rewarded in very specific and marked segments within each stage. At the end of the three stages, the times will be added up and a final winner will emerge with a surprise prize!
