You face this edition…

As every year, this race makes me specially excited as it goes through the routes I usually train and many of the people who come to cheer me up are family, friends and acquaintances, which gives me much more motivation than in other stage races.

Your expectations ...

I would like to win some stage and if is it possible, fight for the overall. I prefer to go day by day, see what my sensations are during the stages and according to that, decide my strategy.

Stands out of La Rioja Bike Race ...

It’s a very demanding stage race in which all riders are tested, since the routes are very complete. Also the environment, certainly does not leave anyone indifferent. I have the good fortune to enjoy the Riojan landscapes during a great part of the year and are truly spectacular. The success of the race is due to many factors: both the organisation of the race and the routes and the location of the start and finish in the city of Logroño. Also the gastronomy, and in particular, Laurel Street, which has already become a symbol of this race.

Your recommendation is ...

My recommendation is to try to go from less to more. Try to take calmly at the first stages so as not to pay for overexertion in the last stages and in this way enjoy the most of the race.

Your training is being ...

Together with my coach Paulo Gadepa, we are doing a great job facing of the first World Cups and I think I arrived in a very good shape for this sixth edition of La Rioja Bike Race.
