OFFICIAL STATEMENT. La Rioja Bike Race presented by Pirelli 2020 is cancelled

The evolution of the pandemic makes it impossible to hold the event with all the security guarantees, which has forced us to cancel it definitively this year.

The seventh edition of the La Rioja Bike Race presented by Pirelli, which was scheduled to take place from 7 to 10 May, and which was postponed to 29 October to 1 November, is definitively cancelled in view of the situation generated by the Covid-19, which does not guarantee that it will be held with the maximum guarantees of safety.

From Octagon Esedos we had prepared and adapted the new date with a health protocol that in addition to collecting the safety measures indicated by the health authorities, provided other measures such as taking the temperature of all riders, in addition to ensuring all the minimum safety distances with a smaller capacity in the areas of more passage.

However, the evolution of the pandemic makes it impossible to celebrate the event safely this 2020 and we are located in 2021 to be able to live the spirit of the Bike Race.

Registration

All bikers registered for La Rioja Bike Race presented by Pirelli 2020 will automatically keep their registration for the next edition. Those who cannot attend in 2021, can ask for a full refund of the registration fee until December 15, 2020 by sending an e-mail with your details to inscripciones@lariojabikerace.com.

The full amount will also be refunded if you have contracted the day license or the Sportograf photo service. For those who have purchased a product from the official Endura collection, the organization, together with the official textile brand of the event, will contact you to coordinate the delivery of the product.

Although the current situation is not what we would have imagined, we hope to return in 2021 with more desire than ever. We would like to thank all the institutions and sponsors who have been supporting us during these difficult months.
