The demanding BUFF® stage

La Rioja Bike Race presented by Shimano queen stage

The BUFF® stage will be the most demanding of the fifth edition of La Rioja Bike Race presented by Shimano. It will be raced on the second day and it’s considered the queen stage due to its distance, elevation gain and technical difficulty. A very complete track of 65,4 kilometres with 2.178 metres of climbing and with many natural contrasts, riding along the typical wineyards, climbing up to Moncalvillo, then joining La Hermedaña and Las Neveras descends by climbing Moncalvillo a secong time along another of its slopes, and return to Logroño crossing the wineyards that produce the world’s most known wine.

After finishing the BUFF® stage, from 13:00 to 16:00, there will a Marqués de Riscal wine tasting at BUFF®-Scott team’s tent. Among those who attend, a night stay for two people at the iconic Marqués de Riscal hotel will be raffled.

Additionally, BUFF® will award a Fastwick Headband to the first hundred people who visit the BUFF®-Scott team’s space during the tasting and who have finished the BUFF® stage.
